Ray Woconish

Singing bass with MARK209 is Ray “Silky Smooth” Woconish from Jacksonville, FL. Ray is one of the finest and smoothest bass singers in the industry which is why many of his fans have nicknamed him “Silky Smooth”. He is a favorite of all who hear him. Ray has been described by his young fans as “all that and a bucket of cupcakes”.

Ray is originally from Elyria, Ohio where he remained until he joined the U. S. Navy. There he served his country proudly aboard one of the finest ships in the fleet, the USS Dale CG19. After serving, he married and remained in Jacksonville, Florida where he had been stationed. Ray always sang while growing up, beginning in Junior High. Ray attended Stetson University for their bachelor of music program, specializing in vocal performance. He began singing gospel music with The South Point Quartet and later with Southern Grace. Ray joined MARK209 in 2012. His first task was performing on the Main Stage at Graceland as the opening act for Elvis Week 2012.

Ray and his wife, Sherry, have two beautiful children, Emily and Mathew. When not on the road, Ray enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid sports fan, always pulling for the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the L.A. Lakers, the Cleveland Indians, and #14 Tony Stewart! As an added bonus Ray’s daughter Emily is a NFL cheerleader for the Jacksonville Jaguars, just one more reason to cheer as loud as a proud dad can! Ray also loves to cook!
